During the recent 53rd Meeting of the Board of Governors of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, numerous important and exciting events were held at the Sde Boker Campus. Both Israeli and international students from The Albert Katz International School for Desert Studies warmly welcomed our esteemed Board of Governors members and took part in the various scheduled activities.
One exhilarating experience we shared with Board of Governors members was venturing into the desert in a Jeep, accompanied by BIDR professors, seeking out hidden secrets and admiring the breathtaking scenery.
In recognition of his remarkable contributions to the field of advanced water filtration systems, Professor Menachem Elimelech was honored by BGU with an honorary doctorate. In a session held at the BIDR, Professor Amit Gross from the Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research and Prof. Elimelech discussed the future of water research at BGU.
